yachtsman’s- or seaman’s knots are knots with special demands:
✔ one must be able to fix them quickly
✔ they have to hold save on tension
✔ they must come easily undone after subjecting them to heavy load.There are of course plenty of knots, but to know just a view selected ones should be enough in the daily use of a beginning seaman.
